Seascape – Original Art Work
Seascapes
People often ask me what I most love to paint. For me, it’s the sea, capturing a little of its magic to enjoy for a little longer. Rather than creating a photographic representation, I hope my seascapes capture the essence and atmosphere of the coastline; paintings that feel like sea breeze, shifting light and salty air.
Many of these paintings also inspire my workshops. Through sharing my love of pastel painting, I hope to encourage others to discover views they love and create their own expressive work in soft pastels.
Original Seascape Gallery
This collection features a selection of my recent original artworks inspired by Poole, Dorset and the surrounding coast, created in soft pastels.
If you’d like to commission your own favourite view, get in touch, I’d love to hear more about your favourite views.
Recent Work
After the storm
An original soft pastel painting inspired by St Ives after a sudden Cornish downpour. This piece captures the drama of the coastline as the storm begins to clear, with dark rocks, crashing waves and shifting light across the sea.

Looking for something special?
If one of my original pastel paintings has already found a new home, I’d be delighted to create something similar inspired by the same coastline, landscape or atmosphere.
If you have a favourite place you’d like captured in soft pastel, please get in touch to discuss an original commission.
