I wanted to suggest that powerful moment when the weather has just passed through, the air feels fresh, the sea is still full of energy, and the landscape seems more vivid because of it. Expressive pastel marks and layered colour bring movement to the waves and atmosphere to the sky, creating a seascape with real depth and emotion.
This is one of my favourite recent pieces, and it carries the energy and wild beauty of the Cornish coast.
